Fishing

Fishing is one of the most popular activities here at Sikkim. Our guests can also enjoy freshwater fishing either at nearby Rishi Khola or Rangpo chu both of which is approximately at 45 minutes drive from Sunakhari Homestay. Whether you're an experienced angler or new to the sport, our guides will be happy to help you out. We provide all the necessary equipment, so all you need to bring is a fishing license and a love for fishing.

Barbeque & Bonfire

Our homestay provides barbeque facilities for our guests to enjoy a delicious meal cooked over an open fire. Whether you're grilling up meats, fish or fowl, our barbeque is the perfect place to roast them either over wood or charcoal fire. In order to make your stay an exciting and unforgettable one we arrange bonfires at a very reasonable cost. 

Trekking

Birding

Our Homestay is in close proximity to Mankhim forest best suited for a bird walk for Brown Boobok, Collared Scops Owl, Mountain Scops Owl and Brown Wood Owl. The Neora Valley National Park and its adjacent Pangolakha WLS is another best location for birding. Mulkharka, Gaikhurey, and Phusrey Lake areas along Rachela ridge, can also be surveyed for birds. Rufous-throated Partridge, Red-faced Liocichla, and Ward's Trogon can be spotted in this area.

1. Aritar Lake - Distance 10 mins - Lampokhari Lake is one of the oldest natural lakes in Sikkim, constructed to facilitate Boating. It is a mesmerizing emerald boot-shaped lake situated at an altitude of 4600 feet and is 1120 feet long and 240 feet wide.
2. Mulkharkha Lake - Distance 40 mins - Phusrey Lake (also known as Mulkharka, Manokamna or Dolma lake) is a natural lake tucked in a remote corner of the forests situated at an altitude of about 7500 feet.
3. Sherpa Monastery & Aritar Monastery - Distance 10 Mins - Pithamchin Sherpa Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in our vicinity, is a Buddhist temple. AritarGumpa, popularly knowns as Ari Gumpa is locatedapproximately 1 km from Homestay.
4. Rhenock Mandir - Shri Viswa Vinayaka Mandir, also called Shri Siddhi Vinayak Mandir and popularly called Ganesh Mandir, is a beautiful temple of Ganesha.
5. Zuluk View Point / Zig Zag View Point - Distance  2 hrs - Zuluk is a small hamlet located at a height of 9,400 feet on the rugged terrain of the lower Himalayas in Rongli Subdivision of Pakyong District, which lies in Sikkim. 
6. Thambi View Point, Nathang Valley,Kupup Lake, Baba Mandir etc - Distance can be covered in 1 day time
